To qualify you must be enrolled in an on-campus graduate program; maintain full-time, attending campus on the Kingston Queen's University Campus status. This prioritizes university-owned housing for students who must be in Kingston, and are studying on a full-time basis. Option to Renew is available depending on student status and eligibility. Queen’s Community Housing strives to provide quality, affordable off-campus housing for Queen’s students. To improve student access to university-owned rental units, we are implementing a series of policy changes in 2024. Lease renewals for any individual student will be subject to an overall maximum tenancy length with Community Housing of four years. Occupancy Limits: As per section 3.1.17.1.(1)(c) of the Ontario Building Code, occupancy is limited to two persons per sleeping room or sleeping area.
NEW - Application Process:
- The application for this unit will be open for three business days to ensure fair access to this unit.
- To apply for this unit, reply to the advertisement by submitting your request to receive an application form. Once received, Community Housing will email you the necessary application form to complete.
- Submitted applications within the allotted timeframe will be entered into a lottery to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants.
- Applications will be assigned a randomly generated a lottery number and will be checked for eligibility based on their priority in the lottery. Community Housing may follow up with applicants to request further documentation.
- Application must include all those who will be living in the unit. Maximum Two individuals.
- Given the high demand for Community Housing properties, many students may not receive a lease offer. We highly recommend connecting with the Off-Campus Living Advisor to explore alternative housing options.
