Description
Housing in the University District is available exclusively to students in undergraduate programs.
Queen’s University owned rental property for rent! Unit showings are arranged prior to receiving an application as submitting an application is an intent to rent the unit. If you wish to request an application and not view the unit, it is with the understanding that you will be renting the unit sight unseen. You will not have an opportunity to view the unit at a later date. Please note that applications are received on a first come, first serve basis.
Please call Community Housing to request an application or unit showing.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VIEW THE UNIT BY KNOCKING ON THE UNIT DOOR AS THIS IS DISRUPTIVE TO THE STUDENTS CURRENTLY LIVING THERE AND WILL RESULT IN YOUR APPLICATION BEING DENIED.
All Community Housing buildings are non-smoking. Tenants, occupants, and their guests are prohibited from engaging in smoking, vaping or consumption by inhalation of tobacco, cigarettes, cannabis or burning or smoking including vaping any other substance in the rental units or buildings.
Please note that our Tenancy Agreement is from the "door in". This means that you do not rent outside of your unit door. Outdoor parties, drinking on the porch, etc. are strictly prohibited, as is the use of balconies, roofs, and fire escapes.
Students apply together for a unit, and are “jointly and severally liable” for all provisions of the lease for the unit; that is to say, students rent the entire unit or house as a ‘household’; and not by the bedroom. We do not pair roommates together, as we want to ensure you select a household that you know, trust, and respect.
Please be advised of the on-going construction work on the JDUC (John Deutsch University Centre) when considering applying for a unit with Community Housing . The JDUC renovations may or may not impact your stay with us, as noise, construction machinery, and traffic impacts continue throughout 2025.
